In towns and villages throughout the region there are regular traditional music festivals, where young and old demonstrate their love of this ancient and historic musical heritage, in music, song and dance, and visitors are welcome to participate. Sixmilebridge itself has a thriving music community with the Sixmilebridge Folk Club holding regular events, and Music Every Sunday in McGregors bar.
